If somebody asks me to recommend an email marketing platform, I would answer with the following question 🙂 : “ What kind of business do you have?” If it is not e-commerce, I highly recommend ActiveCampaign. If it is e-commerce, I recommend Klaviyo. As you might already know, Klaviyo is the best tool on the market for e-commerce business. However, it is pricey. In this article, I want to compare two of my favorite tools,  provide you all ins and outs for each, and help you pick the best one for you.

Since the biggest reason not to get Klaviyo for your e-commerce store is the price, let’s compare the pricing first, and talk about features next.

Klaviyo VS ActiveCampaign Pricing

# of SubscribersKlaviyoActiveCampaig
0-500$25$49
501-2,500$50-$125$49
2,501-5,000$125-$200$73
5,000-10,000$200-$325$113
10,001-25,000$325-$450$175

As you can see now, the price for Klaviyo after 1,000 subscribers is double or more. The next logical question:  “Is it worth it?”

So, let’s talk about features.

As you can see, the features are not very different as well. ActiveCampaign even have very strong CRM system. So why do I still recommend Klaviyo vs ActiveCampaign to my clients? If the subscription price is not the issue, I will still recommend Klaviyo since it is easier to use, to setup, and more user friendly for a not technical person. If you want to set up ActiveCampagin for your e-commerce business, you need to hire email marketing specialist to do it for you. It might cost you around $500 – $2,000 to set it up properly.

The other option would be to contact me, so I could give you a secret how to set it up for less than $500 🙂
